Position: Microbiologist (BS-16)
Total Posts: 03 (Open Merit)
Nature of Post: On Contract Basis for a period of 03 years
Prescribed Qualifications & Experience:
- MS / M.Sc. (Hons) / M.Phil. in Microbiology / Food Microbiology / Industrial Microbiology / Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (or an equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized university).
- OR
- Masters / B.Sc. (Hons) / BS in Microbiology / Food Microbiology / Industrial Microbiology / Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (or an equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized university) along with 02 years of relevant experience acquired after obtaining the degree.
Nature of Required Experience:
- Hands-on experience in microbiological testing, equipment handling, chemical handling, good laboratory practices, pathogens testing, and real-time PCR testing.
- Note: Only post-qualification practical experience in the relevant field will be considered.
Age Limit:
- Male: 23 to 30 + 5 = 35 Years
- Female: 23 to 30 + 8 = 38 Years
- Transgender age and sex are determined based on the details on their CNIC.

- Place of Posting: Anywhere in Punjab
Syllabus for Written Exam/Test:
- One paper MCQ type written test of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration.

Age Relaxation: Employees of Federal/Semi-Government bodies or Local Authorities are not eligible for age relaxation based on their service duration in those organizations.
Degree Equivalence: Applicants with foreign or non-standard qualifications must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from HEC or Q.E.D.C. prior to interview evaluation.
Private Sector Experience: Experience gained at private organizations is acceptable only if the firm was officially registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms, or a recognized regulatory body during the period of employment.
Government Employees: Serving civil/public servants must apply for an NOC/DPC from their parent department before submitting the application.
Professional Registration: Where applicable, valid registration certificates (PEC, PMDC, PNC, PVMC, etc.) must be secured on or before the closing date.
Academic Records: Applicants must provide total marks and percentages for all qualifications; CGPA alone is not acceptable.
Authorized Information: Only details published on the official PPSC portal are considered authentic.
Test Venues: Shorthand, typing, and computer proficiency tests (if required) are conducted in Lahore.
Post Modifications: If the number of advertised seats changes, fresh applications will not be re-invited.
Fee Payment: Online application fees must be paid using digital channels including ATMs, Internet/Mobile Banking, OTC (1Link branches), JazzCash, EasyPaisa, U-Paisa, or supported microfinance banks.
