Position: Logistics Lead

Overview: Manage outflow of Finished Goods (FG) inventory from plant Distribution Centers (DCs) to distributors, ensuring adherence to all required protocols and documentation. Control and own the transportation budget while maintaining high levels of customer service by facilitating the achievement of primary sales targets as per business plans. Drive year-over-year (YOY) productivity improvements in freight costs through strategic network optimization, efficient route planning, and load assignment according to allocated share strategies.

Responsibilities



  • Manage daily/monthly dispatch plans and their execution.
  • Maintain effective communication between Third-Party Logistics (3PL) companies, FG Warehouses (WH), and Customer Service (CS) to ensure timely FG pick-up and dispatch.
  • Partner with Group Procurement (GP) to reduce freight costs YOY through negotiations or the establishment of new freight partnerships.
  • Develop and monitor service level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with 3PL providers and share these with all relevant stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare monthly freight accruals, ensuring data accuracy of +97%.
  • Develop a transportation metrics template and upload data to the “Measure Up” system on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the receipt, verification, and reconciliation of 3PL invoices monthly and submit them to finance according to the payment cycle.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders and the export team to ensure timely handling of export shipments.
  • Initiate productivity improvement plans aimed at maintaining freight costs below the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Foster cross-functional synergy between Plant DCs, Sales, CS, and GP to support fully integrated transportation execution.
  • Collaborate with CS, Sales, and FGWH teams to ensure effective fleet capacity planning for anticipated future volumes.
  • Provide necessary support during AIB (presumably Audit Bureau of Circulations or similar), FSSC (Food Safety System Certification), and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) audits related to logistics.
  • Prepare monthly freight cost analysis, broken down by Distributor, City, Belt (sales territory), and DC, to identify potential causes of variation and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop a daily logistics dashboard for fleet reporting based on dispatch plans.
  • Implement a Track & Trace reporting mechanism to optimize overall fleet cycle time.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and establish controls to minimize potential risks.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Global Control Standards (GCS) guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Qualification/Skill: Commercial/Technical degree, Purchasing – call offs, Computer literate, Materials Management, Financial knowledge, Logistics, Project management skills, Ability to influence: implement change, Transportation knowledge.
  • Experience: 8+ Years of Supply Chain experience with 3-4 years specifically in Outbound Supply Chain (OBSC).
  • Competencies: Leadership ability, Negotiation skills, Drive for Results, Analytical Thinking, Integrity, Organizational Impact, Strategic thinker.

Position: Territory Sales Officer

Overview: Lead the distributor/organization team in deploying company strategies to address local business needs. Train and motivate the team to achieve short-term company objectives and long-term organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Permanent Journey Plans.
  • Screen and hire Order Bookers/Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs).
  • Ensure the implementation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Achieve monthly volume targets established at the beginning of the year.
  • Maximize the productivity of daily planned shop visits.
  • Ensure comprehensive range availability of PCI snacks in the market.
  • Identify and maintain prime rack locations, ensuring rack integrity.
  • Enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management at both the warehouse and in the market.
  • Maintain negligible levels of stale product in the market.
  • Identify stock requirements at the distributor warehouse.
  • Deliver volume and revenue targets for the designated territory.
  • Develop the capabilities of distributors and their workforce.
  • Roll out Sales Order Online (OOR) modules across the distributor workforce.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of the promotional budget by the distributor and DSRs.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of subsidies provided to the distributor (i.e., stale allowance, DSR salaries, and van rentals) by verifying that DSRs/distributors remove all stale products from the market and that all claimed vans and DSRs are actively working throughout the month.
  • Conduct in-market training and coaching with regular follow-up and collaborative work.
  • Develop new customer accounts.
  • Provide weekly reports on all aforementioned KPIs to the Area Sales Manager (ASM).
  • Manage all Point of Influence (PI) assets, including racks.
  • Ensure the implementation of sales software at the distributor level.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge/Skill: Strong leadership skills, People Manager, Problem Solver, Written and verbal communication skills, Prioritization skills, Proficient use of MS Office (frequent work on complex Excel & PowerPoint applications), Strong team player, Multi-tasking ability, Proficient in maintaining speed in work, Analysis and control.
  • Experience: University Graduate (BA), Preferably 1-2 years in a similar capacity, but fresh graduates may also apply.
  • Competencies: Sense of urgency to achieve results.
