Pakistan Refinery Limited is seeking profiles for the position of Business Analyst.

JOB TITLE : Business Analyst
REPORTS TO : Managing Director & CEO
LOCATION : Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose: To support business strategy and operational decision-making by conducting financial and business analysis, developing financial models, and providing actionable insights to the Management. The incumbent shall evaluate financial and operational data, identify trends and risks, and contribute towards organizational efficiency, profitability and business growth.

The major job responsibilities are as follows:

Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Develop financial models for business planning, investment evaluation, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations & analytical summaries for senior management.
Evaluate financial implications of new projects/commercial proposals, and business initiatives.
Support pricing, margin analysis, and revenue optimization activities.
Assist management in strategic planning, market analysis, and feasibility studies.
Conduct scenario analysis & sensitivity analysis for business decisions & investment opportunities.
Liaise with other departments for business data and analysis.

Qualification & Experience:

Education: Candidate should possess a professional qualification such as MBA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business planning, FP&A, corporate finance, or business analytics.
Experience in large corporate organizations, energy sector, FMCGs, oil & gas, or public sector entities shall be preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and business intelligence tools will be an added advantage.

Required Competencies & Skills:

Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP/ERP systems, and presentation tools.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
