📌 Role Overview
Opay is seeking an AML Screening Officer to ensure effective sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and watchlist screening of customers and transactions in line with SBP AML/CFT Regulations, EMI Regulations, and group standards. The role is critical in safeguarding against financial crime risks while supporting timely escalation, risk mitigation, and regulatory reporting.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Screen customers, merchants, vendors, and agents at onboarding and ongoing stages.
Review and analyze alerts for EMI transactions and payments.
Escalate high-risk cases to AML Investigations/MLRO.
Ensure compliance with SBP regulations and internal AML policies.
Support STR assessments and audit readiness.
🎯 Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations.
- Experience in transaction monitoring or financial crime compliance (preferably fintech/EMI).
- Analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet SLAs.
