VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
MEMBERS of TRADE DISPUTE RESOLUTION COMMISSION

Ministry of Commerce intends to appoint five (5) Members for Trade Dispute Resolution Commission (TDRC) to carry out the functions as enunciated in the Trade Dispute Resolution Act (TDRA), 2022.

Two (2) members will be appointed from the Private Sector and three (3) members will be appointed from the Public Sector including retired Government servants or in-service officers in terms of Section-9(2) of the Trade Dispute Resolution Act, 2022.

Tenure: Three (3) Years extendable for another three years on satisfactory performance
Age: Minimum 45 Years and Maximum 62 Years at the time of appointment

Qualification as per TDR Act, 2022
An applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan and should be possessing a Masters Degree or sixteen (16) years of education from an HEC accredited University or Institute in International Trade, Economics, Accountancy, Tariffs and Trade, International Commerce, Business Law and Commercial Law or any related field.

Experience as per TDR Act, 2022
The applicant must have at least Twenty (20) years of professional work experience in International Trade, Economics, Accountancy, Tariffs and Trade, International Commerce, Business Law and Commercial Law or any related field.

Disqualification as per TDR Act, 2022
No person can be appointed or can continue as member or an employee of the Commission, if such person;
a) Has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude;
b) Has been or is adjudged insolvent;
c) Is incapable of discharging his duties by reasons of physical, psychological or mental unfitness and has been so declared by a duly constituted medical board appointed by the Division concerned;
d) Fails to disclose any conflict of interest at or within the time provided for such disclosure by or under this Act or any rules, regulations or guidelines prescribed from time to time;
e) Is guilty of misconduct;
f) Ceases to be citizen of Pakistan

Terms & Conditions as per TDR Act, 2022

All members of the Commission will be employed on a full-time basis on such salary, terms and conditions as prescribed by the applicable rules, but not less than MP-I pay scale.
In case any in-service officer is selected through competitive process, he/she shall either resign from Government Service or seek early retirement before joining the Commission.
A Member shall cease to hold office on attaining the age of sixty-five years or the expiry of the term, whichever is earlier.
Applications on the prescribed format shall be submitted only through “Online application Form” available at Ministry’s job portal (http://careers.commerce.gov.pk/tdrc) within 15-days from date of advertisement.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. NO TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
Incomplete applications or applications received after deadline will be rejected.
