MCB Islamic Bank is inviting applications for the position of “Senior Officer – Data Center Operations”.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Senior Officer – Data Center Operations

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Lahore

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀

➡️ 2-4 years of relevant experience
➡️ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
➡️ Able to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies
➡️ Works well under pressure
➡️ Provides technical support and handles troubleshooting (L1 & L2)

𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

➡️ Manage and oversee Data Center operations and administration
➡️ Monitor and manage virtualized Production, Disaster Recovery & UAT environments
➡️ Perform analytics & deep dive VMware ARIA
➡️ Understanding of replication & site recovery, Perform monitoring through analytical tools
➡️ Administer and monitor UCSM & UCSx Plan, test & deploy new hardware infrastructure
➡️ Ensure complete infrastructure monitoring and proactively inform stakeholders
➡️ Perform maintenance and plan upgrades during off-hours as per business requirements
➡️ Configure and manage Veritas NetBackup, including policies, scheduling & appliance administration
➡️ Participate in maintenance and upgrade activities
➡️ Install, configure and manage VMware ESXi hosts
➡️ Perform VM provisioning’s according to raised requirements
➡️ Provide Linux and Windows Server OS support to VM owners
➡️ Manage storage systems (Dell, Huawei Dorado), including block and LUN management
➡️ Maintain records of approved forms, SOPs and project plans
➡️ Handle LTO tape management and offsite
➡️ Maintain centralized inventory for Production, DR & UAT (virtual / physical assets)
➡️ Manage infrastructure diagrams including HLD and LLD documentation
➡️ Provide off-hours support to stakeholders via onsite/VPN
