Irrigation Department, an equal opportunity organization, invites applications from suitable candidates domiciled in Punjab for Project Management Office (PMO) for Remodeling and Rehabilitation of Lnk Canals and Implementation of Mega Projects, Irrigation Department, Government of the Punjab, for the following posts:

REMODELING AND REHABILITATION OF LINK CANALS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MEGA PROJECTS

1. Head PMO/Project Director (PPS-10/MS-20)

No. of Posts: 1 Post
Age Limit: Maximum age 55 years
Pay: Rs. 500,000/- plus annual increment as per P&D Letter No.13(24)PO(COORD-I)P&D/2022 dated July 14th, 2022 issued from time to time as per government policy (In case of contract employee) or pay and allowances of existing pay scale of Officer + Incentive allowance as per FD letter No. FD.SR-VII-121/2020 dated October 5th, 2022 issued from time to time as per Government Policy (In case of appointment of Government Employee).
Qualification: B.Sc. Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree with specialization in any discipline of Water Engineering & Management/ Water Resources Engineering/ Irrigation Engineering/ Hydraulics Engineering from HEC recognized University.
Experience:
- Should have experience of more than 17 years in design, planning, construction, operation, monitoring and management of Hydraulic Engineering projects on rivers, large canals and barrages after B.Sc Civil Engineering.
- Should have worked in water sector projects.
- Should have knowledge of latest Engineering codes of practices.
- Should be Professional Engineer registered with PEC.
- Government Officers are eligible to apply. In case of selection of Government Officer, his appointment will be made by transfer.

2. Director Technical/BPO-(PPS-09/DS-19)

Age Limit: Maximum age 50 years
Pay: Rs. 400,000/- plus annual increment as per P&D Letter No.13(24)PO(COORD-I)P&D/2022 dated July 14th 2022 issued from time to time as per government policy (In case of contract employee) or pay and allowances of existing pay scale of Officer + Incentive allowance as per FD letter No. FD.SR-VII-121/2020 dated October 5th, 2022 issued from time to time as per Government Policy (In case of appointment of Government Employee).
Qualification: B.Sc. Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree with specialization in discipline of Water Engineering & Management/ Water Resources Engineering/ Irrigation Engineering/ Hydraulics Engineering from HEC recognized University.
Experience:
- Should have experience of at least 12 years in planning, design, construction supervision, monitoring and management of engineering projects on canals, rivers and barrages after B.Sc. Civil Engineering.
- Should have worked in water sector projects.
- Should be Professional Engineer registered with PEC.

3. Director (Procurement & Contract Administration) (PPS-09/DS-19)

Age Limit: Maximum age 50 years
Pay: Rs. 400,000/- plus annual increment as per P&D Letter No.13(24)PO(COORD-I)P&D/2022 dated July 14th 2022 issued from time to time as per government policy (In case of contract employee) or pay and allowances of existing pay scale of Officer + Incentive allowance as per FD letter No. FD.SR-VII-121/2020 dated October 5th, 2022 issued from time to time as per Government Policy (In case of appointment of Government Employee).
Qualification: B.Sc. Civil Engineering degree from a recognized university and M.Sc. Engineering with subjects of Project Management, Procurement / Contract Management / Construction Management or equivalent from a HEC recognized University.
Experience:
- At least 12 years of overall professional experience after B.Sc. Civil Engineering.
- Should be registered with PEC as professional engineer.
- Must have experience of preparing procurement documents, PQ documents, bid documents and bid evaluation reports.
- Must have experience of preparing procurement documents for consultancy services, EOI, RFP, and contract agreement.
- Must have experience of contract/ claim Management of civil engineering projects. Experience of mega civil engineering projects under ADB / World Bank and any other donor funded projects condition / guidelines will be preferred.
- Must possess proven skills in tendering, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, claim handling.
- Must possess knowledge of contract conditions, procurement guidelines and PPRA Rules.

4. Deputy Director (Hydraulics-1) (PPS-08/BS-18)

- Should have overall professional experience of 12 years in case of B.Sc. Engineering and 9 years in case of M.Sc. Engineering.
- Should be registered with PEC.
- Should have experience in designing hydraulic gates, hoisting mechanism, superstructures on canals and barrages.
- Experience of implementation of projects.
- Should have experience in supervising the manufacturing of hydraulic gates and allied components for canals and barrages.

7. Accounts Officer (Accounts & Finance) (PPS-07/BS-17)

Pay: Rs. 200,750/- plus annual increment as per P&D Letter No.13(24)PO(COORD-I)P&D/2022 dated July 14th, 2022 issued from time to time as per government policy. Qualification: Possess professional degree of ACA/ACMA/ACCA with 10 years of post-qualification experience or MBA (Finance) with 12 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience:
- Familiar with the latest accounting rules and regulations and have experience of handling financial management software.
- Motivated, having strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills to manage lead and guide team of finance and administrative staff to enhancing their effectiveness in a professional environment.
- Must have relevant working experience in accounts/ funding of civil projects.
- Should be computer literate having experience of computer software for relevant documentation.

8. Assistant Director (Civil) (PPS-07/BS-17)

Qualification: B.Sc. Civil Engineering with 5 year of professional experience or Masters in Civil Engineering / Hydraulics Engineering/ Water Resources Engineering and Management or equivalent with B.Sc. Civil Engineering from a HEC recognized University with 3 years related experience.
Experience:
- Should be registered with PEC.
- Should have experience of working for construction of hydraulic structures.
- Should have knowledge of latest Engineering codes of practice.
- Should be computer literate and have experience of computing techniques.
- Persons domiciled in province of the Punjab are eligible to apply.

General Instructions:

The above positions are on contract basis, for period of three (03) years or till the end of the project (whichever is earlier).
