We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager for Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS). The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining safety standards, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting a culture of health and safety within our organization. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management, strong management skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Assess potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate them. Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and simulations to ensure preparedness in the event of emergencies.
- Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations. Liaise with regulatory agencies and external partners as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
Proven experience in EHS management, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of local safety and environmental regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
