Do you think you can take up the following Roles and Responsibilities?
- Coordinate with line management to expedite the completion / correction of reported EHS hazards / issues including accident investigation actions
- Seek to promote and enhance EHS culture through daily cross department rounds, morning meetings and EHS committee meetings
- Conduct employee engagement activities like Health and Safety Day to promote the safety culture and awareness
- Coordinate to incorporate ISO standards into the SOPs of the organizations; Seek to ensure the compliance of SOPs and ISO standards of Environmental management (ISO 14001)
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve Environmental issues by providing them guidance and coaching
- Ensure compliance of all periodic EHS inspection e.g., firefighting equipment, LUX (lighting) and noise monitoring
- Coordinate to update emergency response SOPs and seek to ensure their implementation
- · Provide emergency response trainings to wardens chosen for the cross-department emergency teams; Coordinate to organize quarterly meetings to assess the status of emergency response in departments
- Ensure periodic inspection, testing, monitoring and rectification of EHS equipment e.g., fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire hydrant system
- Plan and conduct multiple emergency mock drills (covering different emergencies) annually for evacuation training; Seek to identify flaws in emergency equipment to improve infrastructure for future scenarios, real or mock.
- Support utilities and other relevant departments with EHS expertise to minimize usage of resources and reduction in environmental discharges
- Ensure the periodic monitoring of contractor’s / contracted work of third-party vendors including counselling, immediate corrections and escalation
- Participate in pre-mobilization meeting with contractors for providing necessary guidance / briefing on site EHS procedures / requirement
