MANAGER – LEGAL

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure that contracts comply with our banking policies and applicable laws.
• Assist in ensuring that the Bank complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on new laws and regulations that may affect the Bank’s operations.
• Stay updated on all and every litigation related to the Bank throughout Pakistan.
• Identify legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate such risks.
• Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes or litigation and liaise with external legal counsel.
• Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the Bank.
• Assist in developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the Bank’s interests.
• Maintain & organize the Bank’s legal documents & records.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, summaries and correspondence as required.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an in-house legal professional or in law practice, with experience in the Banking or Financial services sector preferred.
• Knowledge of Islamic Banking principles.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
