MANAGER – LEGAL

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Ensure that contracts comply with our banking policies and applicable laws.
Assist in ensuring that the Bank complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on new laws and regulations that may affect the Bank’s operations.
Stay updated on all and every litigation related to the Bank throughout Pakistan.
Identify legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate such risks.
Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes or litigation and liaise with external legal counsel.
Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the Bank.
Assist in developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the Bank’s interests.
Maintain & organize the Bank’s legal documents & records.
Assist in the preparation of reports, summaries and correspondence as required.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an in-house legal professional or in law practice, with experience in the Banking or Financial services sector preferred.
Knowledge of Islamic Banking principles.
Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
