Job Description:

1. Coordinate with departments for purchasing raw materials, equipment’s and supplies.
2. Gather market information regarding price and availability of material / item.
3. Search for vendors/suppliers for purchasing requisite items as per purchase requisition, obtain quotations and negotiate the price.
4. Prepare the estimated cost sheet for imports, make entry into the ERP and generate purchase order for approval.
5. Ensure that the item supplied by vendor is as per specification and requirements of user department and in line with purchase order.
6. Arrange transportation, clearance for delivery of items from vendor premises to factory.
7. Coordinate with service providers for scheduling, expediting and tracking of shipments.
8. Follow up with Finance department for timely payment to vendors.
9. Make arrangements for returning rejected items / goods / materials to suppliers.
10. Prepare monthly management reports.

Job Description:

1. Coordinate with relevant business units for the import / purchase of raw materials, spares and other items.
2. Search for vendors/suppliers for the purchase of the requisite items as per purchase requisition.
3. Collect quotations from suppliers to procure materials/items at competitive prices and determine product availability, price, terms and conditions of the purchase transactions and other necessary details.
4. Negotiate the price with suppliers and prepare purchase order.
5. Evaluate duties, taxes, freight and other charges to CSAPL for costing approvals.
6. Ensure that item supplied by vendor is as per specifications and requirements of user department and in line with purchase orders.
7. Prepare the estimated cost sheet for the imports, make entry into the ERP and generate purchase order for approval.
8. Arrange transportation of imported raw material from port to the factory locations.
9. Coordinate with banks, clearing agents, service providers, insurance companies and other external parties.
10. Check and verify the correctness and accuracy of purchase invoices.
11. Carry out demand planning for all business units.
12. Support the preparation of departmental budget and strategies.
13. Remain up to date with market trends and/or any major events that can cause supply chain/price disruptions.
14. Support the implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
