Category Executives oversee company needs, responsible for the net profitability & top line, handle daily business issues, manage company associations, and recognize business opportunities, Constant communication and negotiation with strategic partners or business associates. Cross functional alignment for business growth is the key element. Required to utilize their knowledge of business law to verify, oversee or approve commercial agreements and documentation.
JOB DUTIES:
- To develop and maintain a professional relationship with existing and new business partners to ensure the maximum utilization of potential and to identify area of improvement and requirements.
- To achieve set turnover & bottom line and later income targets.
- Strong negotiation skills and Understanding of budget management
- Assortment building, bring right assortment on shelf keeping in view targeted customer and competition
- Product knowledge , understanding of food safety laws and familiarity with QA protocols are must
- Set the buy level for local assortment and imports at sub category and supplier level to keep eye on ordering cycle for the further improvement
- Make process for product listing and delisting
- Prepare the target for stock days according to category / sub category business norm
- Availability is the key, stock availability for KVIs, non KVIs and promotional items to avoid the business loss.
- Stock Merchandising skills according to category, sub category and store location
- Complete surveys of market pricing (MI).
- Initiate and implement the Pricing policy (Promotional stock, KVIs and Non KVIs) keeping in view target margin
- Work closely with the project team; ensure optimum delivery of the project whilst exercising
- Close co-ordination with supply chain and store team to run the operations smoothly
- Control of costs, procurement and management of the supply chain.
- Responsibility for ensuring risk is managed and contractual issues are looked after in the company’s best interest.
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Dispute resolution/settlement of contractual claims.
