Position: Manager, Planning

Purpose: A key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Develop analytic tools to optimize planning & allocation decisions, collect and build data structures for standardized reporting & analysis. Act as subject matter expert for assigned sourcing allocation and planning processes; lead or participate in data, analytics, or system projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain thorough understanding of the factors influencing the dynamics of the supply and demand data within the various system infrastructures.
Manage & execute standardized reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis.
Enhance reporting and analytical capabilities through automation of data collection.
Identify improvement potential through various analyses, derive solutions and facilitate related decisions.
Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations and solutions.
Develop and implement department related state of the art analytic tools. Apply the tools to provide analytical support within the assigned area and/or cross divisional when appropriate.
Be an expert and function as a knowledge base of data, analyses, and systems within the assigned area.
Coach, train, and support other team members in using the analytic tools and data to make optimal planning and allocation decisions.
Lead or participate in data, analytics, or system projects as assigned.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities

Deep business understanding of Allocation and Planning processes and structure
Very good analytical and critical thinking skills to manage large data quantities from multiple sources.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Good communication and storytelling skills for persuasion and convincing others
Ability to adapt in a consistently changing environment and different management levels of a global organization
Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers
Aptitude to learn new enterprise systems and have functional expertise in all MS office applications, especially with Excel, MSTR & Power BI
Fluent in Business English [written and spoken]

Position: Director, Sourcing Operations

PURPOSE

Key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
Lead the overall business of the Operation Centers/designated factories or factory groups and manage the relationships between adidas Group and T1s ensuring that adidas apparel objectives are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the overall sourcing business, operations, and functions in designated groups of factories/operations centers, to execute the global sourcing strategies.
Lead the Development & Commercialization and Production teams in the partner groups/OCs ensuring that they fully carry out their expected JD/R&R and that all company standards are met with support from relevant functional heads when needed (including development, material, costing, quality, SEA & ME&I)
Own all KPI performance and utilize SPIKE framework to drive KPI performance of the managed partners
Build and maintain close working relationships with the partner senior leadership and functional leads to ensure quick resolution of issues as well as engage them in the overall company strategies.
Represent operations both internally & externally and foster a strategic partnership and relationship with our customers.
Contribute to the allocation process through regular collaboration with stakeholders.
Ensure all operations comply with relevant local laws and adidas workplace standards and freedom of associations.
Develop and coach team members and take an active role in driving engagement.
Streamline processes through continuous improvement techniques and tools and challenge existing standards and procedures.

Have a wide experience of quality management concepts in manufacturing of consumer goods.
Strong conceptual thinking

Strong leadership skills and ability to lead multidimensional teams.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

University degree in engineering/materials or related areas or relevant ‘expert’ work experience
Minimum 15+ years of relevant business experience and 3+ years of people management experience.

Independently manage all production, quality, production availability, and manufacturing efficiency.
Escalate critical issues and drive problem-solving discussions to solve or mitigate the potential impacts.
Manage relationships with factory management in applying the right resources, processes, tools, strategies to achieve operation excellence.
Rollout and implement adidas best practices and directions to the responsible factories.
Influence factory production/quality middle management and drive change to achieve production objectives.
Make day-to-day decisions within defined scope through exception-management by evaluating and balancing risks and seeking support on complex issues.
Validate and confirm T1 capacity offers and follow up on availability performance when constraints exist
