POSITION: MARINE UNDERWRITING
GRADE: ASSISTANT MANAGER / JOINT MANAGER LOCATION: GULBERG III, LAHORE
Job Responsibilities:
- To issue/ underwrite all marine policies, cover notes, and endorsements in compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare monthly billing for marine open policies.
- Maintain and update marine premium registers for record-keeping and audit purposes.
- To track and monitor open policy declarations/ declaration data record from Marine Head Office.
- Responsible to manage marine other lead documents within the system, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
- To prepare the analysis/data as per requirement of technical head.
- To assist in other underwriting classes whenever required.
- Arrange approvals from Head Office for any deviation in line to company underwriting guidelines.
- Maintain good liaison with insured representatives to foster strong relationships and ensure the timely follow-up of outstanding premiums.
- Liaison with compliance department to respond their day-to-day queries/ observations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Professional Insurance certification is an added advantage.
- 03 to 05 years of experience in general insurance underwriting, preferably in marine.
- Maximum age up to 32 years as of March 28, 2025.
- In-depth knowledge of marine insurance policies and underwriting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in insurance-related software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Confident individual with good communication skills.
