Ismail Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Officer – Quality to support laboratory testing, quality control, and food safety compliance across its Hub and Port Qasim facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and monitor physical and chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, ensuring timely and accurate completion of scheduled testing.
- Conduct laboratory testing in accordance with approved SOPs, specifications, sampling plans, and test methods, and verify results against approved product and raw material specifications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory reports, test records, COAs, and analytical documentation.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to laboratory findings and product quality issues, ensuring timely closure.
- Ensure timely calibration and verification of laboratory equipment and instruments and maintain accurate calibration records.
- Maintain proper sample identification, retention samples, and traceability in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure laboratory hygiene, safety, chemical handling, and waste disposal practices comply with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, QA, and other relevant departments on laboratory results and quality concerns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Applied Chemistry, or a related field from a reputable institute
- Fresh graduates, or up to 1 year of relevant experience
- Good understanding of laboratory testing, food safety, GMP/GHP, and HACCP requirements
- Sound knowledge of laboratory documentation, equipment calibration, and basic statistical analysis
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, documentation, and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems
