Position: FOOD TECHNOLOGIST

LOCATION: DR. ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL, HEAD OFFICE, NORTH NAZIMABAD CAMPUS.

JOB SUMMARY:

He/ She will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety and nutritional standard of the food served, in line with health regulations and hospital requirements. This role involves developing, testing, and improving recipes, managing food quality assurance processes, and collaborating with the culinary and nutrition team to provide patients with healthy and delicious meals. Food Technologist will play a critical role in maintaining high standards in food preparation and service, contributing to patient well-being and satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze raw materials and finished products for quality, safety and nutritional content.
Collaborate with dietitians and chefs to create recipes and menus that meet patient dietary requirements and enhance food quality.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and quality management.
Evaluate patient and staff feedback to continuously improve menu offering.
Train and guide kitchen staff on food safety, preparation technique and quality control.
Develop, monitor, and control the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization without compromising safety or quality.

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES:

Strong understanding of food safety standards and quality control system ISO 9001: 2015
Exceptional knowledge of food processing, preservation, and production techniques.
Proficiency in food quality testing techniques and equipment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for effective team collaboration.
Familiarity with food regulations and compliance standard.

REQUIREMENTS:

Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.
Professional Qualification: Food Science, Food Technology.
Work Experience: 1+ years.
