Internal Audit Officer / Senior Internal Audit Officer

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to plan, supervise and oversee the various audit activities.
• Examine internal controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and develop remediation strategies.
• Detailed reviews of the working papers and drafts the internal audit report.
• Follows up on audit findings to ensure that management has taken corrective action(s).
• Analyze expenditures, revenues, and operational costs to identify discrepancies, irregularities, or opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, financial reporting standards, and other statutory requirements.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and adapt audit practices accordingly.
• Provide suggestions for streamlining processes and enhancing internal controls to support organizational efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather required documentation and ensure smooth execution of audit activities.
• Follow up on previous audit recommendations to assess the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Qualification:

• ACCA Finalist or Affiliate / CA Part Qualified / ICMA Part Qualified

Experience:

• 3 years audit experience at a leading audit firm and/or in internal audit department of a reputable organization.
