CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) invites applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer, reporting to the Board of Authority. IHRA is a corporate body established under the Islamabad Healthcare Regulations Act 2018, with a mandate to ensure quality healthcare services and accountability across public and private sectors in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

1. Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 15 years of experience in hospital/public administration, public health, medicine, accounting, finance, law, regulation, or related fields.
Preference for additional qualifications in law, management, and/or clinical/medical subjects.
Experience in Government procedures, policies, rules, and regulations is preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare-related role is also preferred.

2. Disqualifications

As per Section 13 of the IHRA Act 2018.

3. Age

Maximum 62 years on the closing date, with possible age relaxation as per Government policies.

4. Salary Package

Market-based competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

5. Job Responsibilities (Clause a-g of Sub-section 12 (3) and Sub-section 12 (2) of IHRA Act 2018)

Act as the Secretary to the IHRA Board and manage the Authority’s operations, funds, and assets.
Prepare strategic and operational plans for review, assist in policy implementation, and provide leadership to senior management.
Oversee financial health, serve as IHRA’s spokesperson, and more.
