Key Responsibilities
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of buses and light vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend effective repair solutions
- Overhaul engines, gearboxes, suspension, brakes, and air systems
- Plan and manage daily workshop operations and manpower
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools and diagnostic equipment
- Coordinate with the parts/inventory department for required spares
Requirements
- Education: B.E. / BSc in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, B.Tech, or relevant Diploma
- 2-5 years for Junior/Mid-level roles
- 6-10+ years for Senior/AM-level roles in transport or automobile sector
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, and vehicle electronics
- Proficient in diagnostic tools (OBD-II, CAN, OEM software) and MS Office / Fleet Management Systems
