POSITIONS VACANT: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is seeking suitable candidates for appointment to the following positions on a contract basis.

1. DGM (Quality Control)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Metallurgy / Materials / Naval Architecture (PEC – registered)

• Minimum 10-20 years relevant experience in steel construction / fabrication, shipbuilding/ heavy engineering setup.

• Candidates having knowledge/awareness of QC standards & General Class Rules w.r.t shipbuilding will be preferred.

• Age: Up to 45 years

2. Manager (Projects)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE (Mechanical/ Marine/ Industrial Engg) from HEC – recognized university PEC – registered

• 08 – 10 years of relevant experience in ship repair/ marine engineering, heavy industrial maintenance or multi-disciplinary project execution environments at least 4-5 years in project management leadership role.

• Candidates having Project Management (PMP) & Primavera /MS Office certification will be given preference.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

3. Deputy Manager (Ship Design)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE/BS/B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Naval Architecture or equivalent from HEC – recognized university.

• 05 years of relevant experience with ability to understand technical drawings, manuals and advise improvements.

• Proficient in ERP, CAD/ Engineering Software, MS Windows, Office & Software Tools.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

4. Deputy Manager (SB Maint)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE/B.Sc. (Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Electronics) from HEC – recognized university PEC – Registered.

• Minimum 05 years’ experience of installation/maintenance in Industrial, Marine, Manufacturing or Heavy Engineering setups.

• Strong knowledge of automation/industrial Controls/mechanical system, hydraulics, and pneumatics pumps gearboxes, engine & compressors etc.

• Ability to understand technical drawings, manuals & advise improvements.

• Knowledge of CMMS, PMS, Maintenance tools, and safety procedures.

• Hands on MS Windows, Office and Software Tools.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

5. Supervisor (Ship Design)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • DAE (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent.

• 05 – 07 years’ experience in design/drafting in engineering industry.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Windows, Office and Software Tools.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

6. Office Assistant

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Graduation from HEC – recognized university.

• At least 03 – 04 years of experience in relevant field.

• Candidates proficient in MS Office with good typing speed will be preferred.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

7. Chef

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Middle / Matric.

• At least 03 years experience in relevant field.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

8. Canteen Man

• No. of Posts: 03

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Middle / Matric.

• At least 02-03 years experience in relevant field.

• Age: Up to 35 years.

9. Driver

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Middle / Matric.

• Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in driving field with valid LTV driving license.

• Age: Up to 45 years

10. CO2 Welder

• No. of Posts: 06

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Matric/Middle/Primary with 02 years of practical experience in CO2 welding, preferably in heavy engineering industry.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

11. Painter

• No. of Posts: 02

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Matric/Middle/Primary with 02 years of practical experience in painting, surface preparation and application of primer, paint and protective coatings.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

12. Fitter

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Matric/Middle/Primary with 02 years of practical experience in fitting, assembly and auxiliary machinery and pumps.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

13. Khallasi

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Matric/Middle/Primary with 02 years of practical experience in Rigger/Khallasi in rigging, lifting, shifting and positioning of heavy equipment.

• Age: Up to 45 years.
