Position: Assistant Manager – Internal Audit

Key Responsibilities
- Assist HOD in preparation of the risk-based internal audit plan.
- Audit cane procurement, E-Survey operations, and cane development loans.
- Cross-verify cane development loan disbursements, recoveries, and grower balances.
- Check cane varieties declared/surveyed for the season against records.
- Verify cash and bank payment vouchers for accuracy and compliance.
- Review payroll and salary processing for accuracy, approvals, and compliance.
- Review ERP data and validate executive dashboards (arrival, cost, recovery, KPIs).
- Audit production/cost structures and inventory controls (weighbridge, gate, ERP).
- Lead audits of contractor/vendor payments, BMR projects, and fixed assets.
- Verify the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, tagging, and physical existence of assets.
- Support budget validation, banking/financing review, and financial reporting compliance.
- Assist in contract evaluation and cost benchmarking.
- Finalize working papers/reports, track action plans, and supervise Audit Executives.
Qualification: M.Com / MBA (Finance) / ACCA / CA (Finalist or Partially Qualified).
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant Internal Audit experience, preferably in a sugar mill / agri-based manufacturing environment, with exposure to procurement, production, payroll, and financial audits.
- Strong command of MS Excel, ERP systems, dashboard/data analysis, and audit methodology, with prior team supervision experience.
