Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Job Purpose
- Lead and coordinate business, operational, and performance planning aligned with corporate strategy, business objectives, and long-term value creation.
- Integrate annual operating plans, medium/long-term business plans, financial targets, operational plans, and KPIs across units to ensure consistency, alignment, and accountability.
- Provide robust financial, operational, commercial, and market analysis to support management decision-making.
- Develop forecasts, sensitivities, and outlooks; evaluate assumptions; monitor performance against targets; and identify risks, opportunities, and intervention areas.
- Coordinate the Company Business Scorecard, support CAPEX/OPEX project evaluation/monitoring, and offer analytical support for management reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an HEC-recognized institute, or professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 08 years.
Required Competencies & Skills
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Strong understanding of business/operational planning and performance management processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence (BI)/reporting tools.
- Strong variance analysis with the ability to translate financial and operational performance into actionable management insights.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex business, financial, operational, and market data.
- Knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX evaluation, investment appraisal, NPV, IRR, payback analysis, and sensitivity/scenario analysis.
- Strong coordination and business-partnering skills, including the ability to constructively challenge assumptions.

Job Title: Digital Transformation (IT/OT) Lead
Reports To: Head of Information Technology
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Job Purpose
- Lead refinery digitalization initiatives using Operational Technology (OT), industrial systems, and emerging technologies to boost efficiency, reliability, safety, and data-driven decisions.
- Drive key projects like DCS/plant integrations, RTG/ATG and Tank Management Systems, Leak Detection Systems (LDS), LIMS, EDMS, and OT/IT integration while upholding cybersecurity standards.
- Partner with Refinery Operations, Technical Services, Engineering, HSE, and business stakeholders to spot opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead digital transformation and OT/IT integration efforts across the refinery.
- Oversee projects for operational systems including DCS integrations, Tank Management, LDS, LIMS, and related applications.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to find automation, analytics, and operational improvement options.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, technology partners, and vendors for successful rollout.
- Build operational dashboards, analytics, and data-driven solutions using plant data platforms.
- Align digital solutions with PRL’s IT architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity guidelines.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an HEC-recognized institute.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified Automation Professional (CAP) from ISA, USA, or other relevant industrial automation/digital transformation certifications.
Experience & Skills
- Experience Required: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in digital transformation, industrial systems, OT/IT integration, automation, or technology solutions in process industries.
- Required Skills:
- Strong IT/OT integration, digital transformation, and industrial tech solutions background.
- Hands-on experience with refinery/industrial systems, automation, process monitoring, and OT platforms.
- Solid grasp of system integration, APIs, data platforms, OT cybersecurity principles, and emerging technologies.
- Track record of leading digital projects and managing vendors/tech partners.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Preferred Experience:
- Background in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, or process industries.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, industrial analytics, AI, Machine Learning (ML), and BI solutions.
- Familiarity with DCS, OT systems, historians, plant info systems, or operational data platforms.

Job Purpose
- Lead PRL’s SAP landscape, RISE with SAP S/4HANA transformation, enterprise business applications, and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives.
- Drive SAP governance, application lifecycle management, and process optimization while partnering with business stakeholders and implementation vendors.
- Oversee SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion, implement new SAP capabilities, and drive continuous business process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP ECC to RISE with SAP S/4HANA conversion (Brownfield approach) and future S/4HANA implementations, including data migration, module deployments, and integrations.
- Manage the SAP application roadmap, governance, enhancements, and lifecycle management.
- Drive process assessment, redesign, and optimization leveraging standard SAP functionality, simplified workflows, and new capabilities.
- Direct implementation partners through solution design, configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-Go-Live support.
- Oversee enterprise applications, workflows, reporting, and SAP integrations with operational/enterprise systems.
- Establish effective change management, testing, documentation, and release management practices.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and build internal SAP competencies.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an HEC-recognized institute, or professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA.

Experience & Skills
- Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of overall experience, including 5 years dedicated to SAP implementation, SAP application management, or enterprise application transformation (with substantial SAP ECC and S/4HANA background).
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations using the SAP Activate methodology.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA Brownfield system conversions.
- Proficiency in SAP governance, solution design, testing, data migration, cutover, Go-Live, and post-Go-Live stabilization.
- Strong background in Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and process automation.
- Understanding of SAP integration architecture (SAP CPI, APIs, middleware).
- Proven track record in managing vendors, implementation partners, and senior business stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, or process sectors.
- High preference for SAP IS-OIL experience.
- Exposure to SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, QM, PS, WM) and BASIS coordination.
- Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors, particularly Employee Central.
