Role Overview
The Maintenance Technical Coordinator acts as the key technical bridge between plant end-users (engineering/maintenance) and the corporate procurement team. This role is responsible for reviewing, standardizing, and categorizing Purchase Requisitions (PRs), evaluating vendor proposals, conducting technical audits/visits, and maintaining inventory reporting accuracy to drive operational efficiency and cost control.
- PR Standardization: Classify and standardize incoming Purchase Requisitions into defined material groups; eliminate duplicate or incomplete requests.
- Technical Comparatives: Prepare side-by-side technical comparison sheets to evaluate vendor quotes against engineering/OEM specs.
- Vendor Evaluations & Visits: Conduct technical audits and site visits to verify vendor manufacturing capabilities, quality, and capacity.
- Technical & Inventory Reporting: Maintain pending PR trackers, critical spares availability logs, and monthly inventory performance reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate directly between maintenance team and procurement to resolve specification queries and approve alternate spare parts.
What we’re looking for
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain.
2-3 years of Industrial experience.
Strong knowledge of industrial plant machinery/spare parts, high proficiency in MS Excel (reporting/dashboarding), and strong vendor evaluation skills.
