Job Summary:

The Manager – Material Management & Control (MMC) is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, control, and movement of materials across the production cycle. The role ensures timely material availability, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective inventory management to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the planning, receipt, storage, issuance, and movement of raw materials, WIP, and packaging materials.
Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and prevent operational delays.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock through effective inventory planning and control.
Oversee inventory transactions, material reconciliation, and stock accuracy in the ERP system.
Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Coordinate with Procurement, PPC, Production, Stores, and Quality to ensure smooth material flow.
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and implement corrective actions.
Develop and enforce material management SOPs, inventory controls, and warehouse best practices.
Analyze inventory performance and prepare periodic MIS reports for management.
Lead, train, and develop the MMC team while driving continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
8 – 10 years’ relevant experience in textile material management operations.
Strong knowledge of ERP, inventory control, MRP, and warehouse management systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
Proven leadership with effective cross-functional coordination and team management abilities.
