WE ARE HIRING! SECTION HEAD – IGCSE

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Section Head – IGCSE to provide academic leadership, ensure high standards of teaching and learning, and drive continuous improvement in the IGCSE section. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, mentor, and collaborator with a passion for academic excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead teaching, learning, and assessment for the IGCSE section.
Ensure curriculum is implemented effectively and academic standards are consistently maintained.
Monitor student progress and use data to drive improvement.
Conduct lesson observations and provide feedback to teachers.
Support, mentor, and evaluate staff; promote professional development.
Ensure compliance with Cambridge standards, school policies, and regulatory requirements.
Manage parent communication and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee examinations, reporting, and academic administration.
Foster a positive learning environment and support student wellbeing.
Work closely with Senior Leadership to achieve school goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum experience preferred.
Strong academic leadership and communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:

5–7 years of successful teaching experience.
2–3 years in an academic leadership role.
Experience in curriculum implementation, assessment, and staff development.
Proven ability to improve learner outcomes and lead high-performing teams.
