About Role:
To manage operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the mill’s electrical systems, with a focus on turbine generators, transformers, VFDs, and protection relays, ensuring reliable plant performance during crushing and off-season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain generators, transformers, switchgear, and distribution systems
- Support Steam Turbine Generator (STG) operations and troubleshooting
- Interpret electrical control and protection drawings for maintenance planning
- Test and commission generator and feeder protection relays
- Maintain and troubleshoot power transformers and VFD systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults with minimal downtime
- Ensure EHS compliance and coordinate with mechanical/process teams
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E. / B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from a PEC-recognized university
- 3–5 years’ experience in sugar mills or heavy process industries
- Hands-on experience with STG systems, protection relays, transformers, and VFDs
- Working knowledge of ETAP preferred
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
