Head of Business Development
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to lead our Business Development function and drive sustainable growth through strategic partnerships, portfolio expansion, and market opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Location: Karachi
- Experience: 12-15 Years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the organization’s growth objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, licensing arrangements, and strategic alliances.
- Lead portfolio expansion initiatives, including product acquisitions, in-licensing, out-licensing, and contract manufacturing opportunities.
- Conduct market assessments, competitor analyses, and feasibility studies to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international partners, principals, and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership contracts to maximize business value.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing & Sales, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure successful execution of business initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging therapeutic opportunities to strengthen the company’s competitive positioning.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying untapped markets and developing sustainable business models.
- Prepare business cases, financial evaluations, and presentations for senior leadership and executive decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business models, licensing, partnerships, and portfolio management.
- Proven track record of successfully leading business development initiatives and delivering growth outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and identify strategic opportunities.
- Exposure to financial analysis, business valuation, and contract negotiations.
