Shift Manager – Centralized Control Room (CCR)
The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:
- Engineering Degree or Above – (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Chemical)
- Minimum 8 years’ experience of working in power plant operations, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in coal fired power plant
- In-depth understanding of steam turbines, boilers, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, operation instructions, and safety procedures.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, presentation skills & problem-solving skills under pressure.
The main responsibilities of the position will involve:
- He is responsible for Safe, reliable & efficient Operation of complex.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the plant, general safety including permit to work system and safety coordination across the station boundaries.
- Ensure that Production department’s targets & objectives are met whilst contributing to station objectives.
- Lead emergency response at the plant.
- Ensure close and effective working level relationship with ISMO.
- Anticipating and responding effectively to the operational demands on the plant, whilst minimizing those elements of unit cost which are within the Production Department’s immediate control.
- Develop and implement Plant Operating Instructions & relevant risk assessments.
- Safeguarding the Plant’s operational plant and equipment.
- Implementation of all developed Procedures.
- Any other task assigned by Line Manager.

Snr.Officer/Lead Operator – Centralized Control Room (CCR)
The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:
- DAE/B.Tech- Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience of working in power plant operations, preferably in coal fired power plant BTG operations.
- Knowledge of power plant safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and work permit systems.
The main responsibilities of the position will involve:
- Responsible for the start-up, shutdown, load adjustment and accident handling of single unit and ensures the safe operation of the equipment.
- Strictly implement the work permit system and safety regulations to prevent mis-operation.
- Strictly implement the “defect management system”, “equipment abnormality management system” and “fire management system” .
- Carefully monitor and adjust the machine parameters during operation to ensure safe and economical operation of the unit. Carefully analyze any abnormalities, find out the causes and make timely adjustments.
- Perform effectively in communicating and coordinating with relevant department and roles.
- Responsible for handling equipment and system accidents on the plant.
- The person taking over the shift must arrive at the duty room 30 minutes before the scheduled time and should be aware of the situation in advance in case of major operations or tests.
- Carefully review the operation logs, record forms, and receipt and delivery of work tickets from the last shift handover to the current shift handover, raise questions about any unclear points, and understand them clearly.
- Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment status, system mode, parameter correctness, and maintenance measures for the specific position, and check whether the records are correct. If any abnormality is found during the inspection, proactively report it to the person handing over the shift.
- Participate in the post-shift meeting hosted by the Shift Manager and self-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the class’s work and the precautions.
