Shift Manager – Centralized Control Room (CCR)

The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:

Engineering Degree or Above – (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Chemical)
Minimum 8 years’ experience of working in power plant operations, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in coal fired power plant
In-depth understanding of steam turbines, boilers, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, operation instructions, and safety procedures.
Strong leadership, decision-making, presentation skills & problem-solving skills under pressure.

The main responsibilities of the position will involve:

He is responsible for Safe, reliable & efficient Operation of complex.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the plant, general safety including permit to work system and safety coordination across the station boundaries.
Ensure that Production department’s targets & objectives are met whilst contributing to station objectives.
Lead emergency response at the plant.
Ensure close and effective working level relationship with ISMO.
Anticipating and responding effectively to the operational demands on the plant, whilst minimizing those elements of unit cost which are within the Production Department’s immediate control.
Develop and implement Plant Operating Instructions & relevant risk assessments.
Safeguarding the Plant’s operational plant and equipment.
Implementation of all developed Procedures.
Any other task assigned by Line Manager.
