Experience: 3-4 years. Prior experience in banking is preferred.
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g., service agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts).
- Provide legal advice on contract-related issues and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (HR, procurement, finance) for contract alignment.
- Review and manage legal risks, ensuring organizational interests are protected.
- Support dispute resolution and assist in legal reporting.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.
- To liaison with the Branches in terms of legal vetting on documents for Bank Guarantees.
- To co-operate with Credit Administration Department in terms of the collateral property held as security in commercial loans and to arrange Post Mortgage Legal Opinion.
- Provide Pre & Post Mortgage Legal Opinion on Commercial Loans to Branches, and Head Office, and to properly scrutinize property documents, etc.
- Provide Legal Opinion on Staff House Finance to HR and Branches and to properly scrutinize property documents, etc.
- Co-ordinate with GSD for legal vetting of Premises documents for Acquisition of New Branches.
- Assistance & coordination with Branches for prompt response on Succession Certificate, Letter of Administration, Inquiry by Investigation Officer & Complaint by Customer, review of Power of Attorney, etc.
- Vetting / Drafting of Mortgage Deed / Redemption Deed / Undertaking / Reply to Branches & Departments in commercial & Staff loans.
- Drafting of Rent / Lease / Supplementary Lease Agreements of Rented Bank Premises.
- Assistance to Compliance Department & Branches on Notices received from NAB, FIA, FBR, SRBO.
- Appear before Sub-Registrar Offices on behalf of Bank in buy transaction of Staff House Finances and visit Courts on regular basis to monitor the cases (by and against the bank) and provide follow up reports.
- Occasionally visit Civil & Criminal courts, including Special Courts, i.e., NAB, FIA Courts, etc. on need basis.
