Lecturer (BPS-17)

Department: Public Health
Vacancies:
- Nutritionist: 1
- Nursing: 2
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Nutritionist: B.Sc (Hons.) Nutrition, MS/M.Phil. (at least 2nd Division), or equivalent qualification from HEC recognized degree awarding institute/university.
- Public Health: MBBS with M.Phil. in Public Health or community medicine from HEC recognized degree awarding institute/university.
- Nursing: MSN/MPhil in Nursing from HEC recognized degree awarding Institute/university. A valid license is required for Nursing positions.

Important Instructions:

For Academic Positions:
- Applicants must submit PM&DC Experience Recognition Certificates corroborating with the applied positions. Evidence of submission is required if the recognition certificate is in process.
- Applicants with Experience Certificates issued by the University of Health Sciences or any other approved institution must get their certificates verified from PM&DC. Evidence of submission is required if the verification is in process.
- The University will determine the relevancy of Research Publications to the applicant’s specialty.
BPS appointments will be on a contract basis.
The University may conduct a subject test if the ratio of posts to eligible applicants is more than 1:5.
Candidates with foreign qualifications must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan/Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
No TA/DA will be admissible.
The University reserves the right to post selected applicants at any campus (City Campus or Jinnah Campus, KSK).
Appointments are subject to Police Verification and other checks, including references, educational, and professional checks.
Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.
Applicants must be no more than 35 years old on the last date of application submission.
Only Punjab domiciled candidates can apply.
The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts without notice.
Applicants working in the Public Sector Organization/Department must apply through the proper channel.
Selected applicants will be governed by the provisions of UHS Service Statutes 2005, Contract Agreement, and UHS Ordinance 2002.

How to Apply: The application process consists of two phases:

a. Online Submission b. Manual Submission

Pay the prescribed fee through a bank challan available on “forms.uhs.edu.pk/jobs” through ILink or any branch of the Bank of Punjab (BOP). Attach the bank challan with the application form. The fee for BPS 17 and above is Rs. 2000/-.
Carefully fill the online form, providing personal information, educational information, experience, etc. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited.
Download and print the filled online form using the “DOWNLOAD AND PRINT” button. If downloading/printing is unavailable, access the form later using the “SEARCH” button.
Send the printed form along with attested copies of educational certificates, testimonials, CNIC, domicile, passport-sized colored photographs, and the original paid bank challan to the Office of Deputy Registrar (HR), Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore, either by post or by hand submission at the Diary & Dispatch Section, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, on or before February 26, 2025, during working hours.
