Job Summary:
Will be responsible to promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nurse process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients 1 and families, and supervising assigned team members.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in administration of chemotherapy drugs, dosages, and side effects.
- Provide bedside teaching regarding benefits and side effects of chemotherapy medication and blood transfusion for all hematology and oncology patients and their families.
- Ensure provision of pain management, palliative care, and psychological/emotional care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patients’ records.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the management.
Knowledge & Competencies:
- CPR and BLS Certification
- Having critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member
Requirements:
Academic Qualifications: Matric/Intermediate in Science
Professional Qualifications:
- 3-year diploma in general nursing from PNC and HEC accredited college/school of nursing.
- OR 4-year bachelor’s in nursing from PNC and HEC accredited college/university.
Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a recognized hospital.
