We are looking to add a member to our Imports (Supply Chain) team, an expert in leading all kinds of imports (supply chain) activities in a textile manufacturing concern. A good fit for this role would be ideally someone who can play a pivotal role in elevating the business to create a benchmark amongst best industry practices.

The major areas of focus and expertise for an ideal candidate are:

Leading all imports activities and manage all communication with customers and vendors
Plan and implement all import transportation strategies according to all supplier and customer demand and administer internal movement of all goods and ensure compliance to all government regulations
Partner with suppliers and inventory planners and ensure accurate movement of all international goods and ensure arrival of goods within required timeframe and obtain best freight rates at all times
Liaison with financial institutions for clearance of vendor payments and customs clearance representatives for customs clearance matters
Administrating the shipment of products as per the particularities of the clients and making sure that the targets of the organization are achieved
Strategizing, planning and enforcing the import activities as per the providers and requirements of the customers
Play an active role in ensuring the smooth movement of ready-to-ship products from the factory premises to the ports and then onwards until they are delivered to the customer
Collaborating with the suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain operations and ensure the deliveries are also made timely
Assist in preparing all import quotes for customers and perform all shipment bookings with carriers
Design, evaluate and renew all contracts as per requirement and monitor and prepare reports for all import activities and recommend changes if required
Good multitasking, analytical, interpersonal and pressure-handling skills and has the ability to drive processes through innovation and ownership
Has at least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience of working in the Imports (Supply Chain) department of a textile/manufacturing concern.
Qualification Requirements: Masters/Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.

The position will be based at the Corporate Office, Gulberg, Lahore.
