The Board of Governors (BoG) of SZIC invites applications (on the prescribed Application Form) for the post of Director, Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Karachi, on a contractual basis from Pakistani Nationals as per the following details:

BPS: 21

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Islamic Studies/Arabic Language

Age:

Maximum age limit is 55 years (Relaxable up to 2 years by the Competent Authority on the recommendation of the Selection Board)

Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized university or postgraduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization(s).
The applicant must have fifteen (15) research publications (with at least five research publications in the last 5 years) in HEC-recognized journals.
The candidate should have five years of administrative experience in an HEC-recognized institution.

Terms & Conditions:

a. The post of Director is of BPS-21; however, once appointed on the post of Director (administrative position), the candidate may not be allowed to apply for TTS Faculty.

b. The appointment would be made for a tenure of four (04) years. If the selected candidate does not belong to the Centre, the appointment would be made on a contractual basis.

c. Upon completion of three years as Director-SZIC, the incumbent would immediately submit their performance report simultaneously to the Federal Secretary, Education and Professional Training, the Vice Chancellor, and the Executive Director, HEC.

d. The Director, who served for one tenure, may apply again.

e. Foreign degree holders are required to provide an Equivalence Certificate from HEC.

In-service candidates should apply through the proper channel. They must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments/institutions along with the application form. Incomplete applications and those received after the due date shall not be considered.

Candidates are advised to submit their CV along with the prescribed Application Form, available from the Office of Superintendent (Establishment), 2nd Floor, SZIC, University of Karachi, or download the Application Form from the website www.szic.edu.pk.
A payment of Rs. 5,000 (non-refundable) through Pay Order drawn in favor of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, Karachi is required.
