VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT:

National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) is a government-owned not-for-profit company, established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. It provides grant financing for projects that contribute to enhancing Pakistan’s resilience to climatic and other natural hazards and to strengthen the government’s ability to quickly respond to disasters triggered by natural hazards.

NDRMF requires the services of vibrant & qualified professionals for following Islamabad based positions on performance based contract:

1.	Deputy Manager – Disaster Risk Financing (One position – Re-advertisemenr) ` Candidates who had already applied against the advertisement dated 25.05.2023. may need not to apply again)	The role of the Deputy Manager Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) is critical in effective management and implementation of disaster risk financing strategies and initiatives. Scope of work includes conducting comprehensive assessments of disaster risks, developing and implementing risk financing mechanisms and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the availability of financial resources for disaster response and recovery by designing and implementing insurance programs. exploring alternative risk transfer mechanisms and managing financial instruments to mitigate the impact of disasters. Additionally, Deputy Manager DRF will be involved in developing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions, donors, and other relevant entities to secure funding for disaster risk financing initiatives. The Deputy Manager DRF should have a strong background in disaster risk management, finance and insurance, along with excellent analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills. Qualification: Master’s degree in economics, finance or any other related discipline. Experience: (i) At least 08 years of experience of working in disaster risk management, with some level of exposure to designing financing instruments to reduce the impacts of disasters; (ii) At least 5 years of managerial experience, heading a team with proven strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to work cross-sector and lead inter-disciplinary teams; (iii) Experience in Insurance Industry will be an added advantage.
2.	Deputy Manager – Social Safeguard (One position – Fresh Advertisement)	The Deputy Manager Social Safeguard plays a critical role in ensuring that social safeguard measures are effectively implemented in all projects by conducting comprehensive social safeguards assessments, ensuring compliance as per ESMS guidelines. This includes reviewing and vetting project proposals, conducting field visits to assess related impacts, and providing recommendations to mitigate adverse effects (if any) on vulnerable groups. The Deputy Manager Social Safeguard also works closely with stakeholders to ensure participation and consultation during project implementation. Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Science. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Social assessments for different projects with focus on development of LARPS/RPs/IPPs.
3.	Quality Assurance Group Coordinator (Executive Assistant – one position – Re-advertisement) `Candidates who had already applied against the advertisement dated 07.10.2022, may need not to apply again)	The role of the Executive Assistant (QAG Coordinator) is a pivotal coordination that primarily involves ensuring effective communication. coordination, and administrative support within the department. Scope includes coordination of various activities related to M&E and Safeguards, such as organizing and scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes, maintaining departmental records, tracking action items and supporting the implementation of quality management systems. Qualification: 14-years of Education in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or Economics. Experience: (i) At least 04-years’ relevant experience in a reputable and large public sector or private organization. (ii) Strong communication skills in English (iii) Proficiency in MS office and other basic IT Software.
4.	Executive Assistant – Administration (one position – Fresh advertisement)	The role of Executive Assistant (Administration) is a multifaceted position that primarily involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the organization’s management team. Scope includes managing day-to-day operational activities, such as handling travel arrangements, coordinating meetings and maintaining administrative records. Qualification: 14-years of Education in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or Economics. Experience: (i) At least 04-years’ relevant experience in a reputable and large public sector or private organization. (ii) Strong communication skills in English (iii) Proficiency in MS office and other basic IT Software.

Terms & Conditions:

(i) To apply for above positions, maximum Age is fifty-seven (57) years.

(ii) For detailed TORs & application process; Applicants MUST apply ONLINE using an Application Form, available at www.ndrmf.pk “Career Section” by entering the required credentials on the online application form and attaching scanned copies of their CV, CNIC, educational & experience certificates, latest by 5th July, 2023 before closing of office hours i.e. 1700 hours. No need to send hardcopy of CV and documents.

(iii) Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date & time will not be entertained and no claim whatsoever thereof will be acceptable.

(iv) Age, Qualification and Experience etc., will be counted from the date of submission of applications. Part-time, honorary, apprentice and internee positions will not be considered/ counted as experience.

(v) All candidates must have Higher Education Commission Verified/Equivalent Qualifications. Foreign qualified candidates must submit equivalence certificates) from Higher Education Commission. A selected candidate shall be required to submit HEC Verified Degree(s) before entering into employment. upon selection.

(vi) Candidates shall be required to produce all original documents at the time of interview.

(vii) Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for test/interview after complete scrutiny of applications. For physical test/Interview, a candidate must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. No TA/DA shall be admissible for test/ interview. A face to face interaction virtually through audio/video, may be opted therefore, applicants are requested to ensure that they have provided updated contact details.

(viii) NDRMF offers competitive remuneration and benefits package. Actual appointment salary will be based on NDRMF’s standards and computation, taking into account the selected individual’s qualifications and experience.

(ix) Candidates already in Government/Semi-government Organization/Autonomous Bodies & Corporations, should apply through proper channel with NOC of the respective department issued on its letterhead. Also, if such candidate gets selected, s/he shall be offered the position through contract agreement.
