Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is a plus. Preferably with CA, ACCA or CFA certification (partial certification is acceptable as well)
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably with an auditing firm, or in a brokerage house
Article-ship during CA will also be considered

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll join our Finance Center of Competence (CoC) based in Karachi and will work with McKinsey consulting teams serving our clients in Pakistan. You will work very closely with McKinsey Pakistan leadership to identify and drive cost-centric opportunities. You will collaborate with finance experts from across the firm, as part of our regional client capabilities hub and in collaboration with our global finance practice.

What You’ll Do : You will be deployed on cost-centric projects, based on your subject matter expertise.

As part of client projects, you’ll be responsible for deep analysis of client’s financial performance using local and international benchmarks to identify opportunity areas for cost savings. In addition, you will develop tailored solutions for these opportunity areas leveraging learning from local and international solutions.

You’ll be a focal point for building outside-in perspectives of cost opportunities for prospective clients in Pakistan. You’ll play a key role in supporting client proposals and other client development activities. You’ll also work extensively towards codifying learning from our cost engagements, developing cutting edge knowledge in your area of expertise, support the development and maintenance of finance capabilities including assets, knowledge, tools, fact packs, case studies, primers.

Your work will require leveraging technical skills and accounting/finance knowledge to help identify cost opportunities and develop innovative solutions. As your career evolves, you’ll have the opportunity to become a specialist or eventually an expert, with broader responsibilities for managing client projects and participating in the overall leadership of the Finance Center of Competence.
