Registration Assistant New York University Job – New York, NY

n-career3Assist students with registering via on-line Student Information System; provide information on procedures, course cancellations and changes, and instructions for obtaining permission necessary to enroll; communicate school and University policies. Maintain the course catalog and schedule of classes. Answer telephone to handle students and administrator inquiries, screen calls and take messages.

Qualifications/Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

Required Experience:
1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a college or university registration office or related environment; familiarity with Student Information System (SIS).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with basic word processing and database applications. Ability to work with numbers. Minimum keyboarding 35 wpm.
