The role of Regional Director
As Regional Director, you will lead the Central & West Asia region and establish and drew goals, objectives and a business plan to help us grow and develop even further Operating at regional, thematic (for example, commodities) and project levels, you will manage people, finances and resources to build CABI’s profile and credibility with professional, government and corporate partners, both nationally and regionally. As ‘Hie face’ of CABI in Central & West Asia and the local lead tor member country relations, we will look to you to build client relationships and work with Global Directors to support country needs.
The required skills and experience
Foremost, you will be a senior business-orientated scientist, qualified to PhD level (or equivalent) in an agricultural or an environment based scientific discipline, with the vision and vigour to lead the development and growth of CABI in Central! & West Asia. Your well-established background m the application of like sciences and strong international outlook will help you establish immediate credibility and authority with the Government of Pakistan and with partners and funding agents.
With a good understanding to CABI’s work, you will bring a wealth of international experience relevant to our mission. You will be able to show us how you have achieved key results and outputs. From managing projects to managing staff and delivering financial targets, you possess highly developed senior management skills. People believe in you and you can demonstrate this through a successful track record of influencing partners and coordinating teams in cross-cultural and mufti-disciplinary environments. Your interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken, are lira-class. You are a natural ambassador with an impressive commercial acumen and operational grasp, driven to achieving business results.
