Unilever Jobs AM Packaging Development: Job Summary Of AM Packaging Development-Foods: The primary function of this position is to develop packaging, cross category, based on product/market & consumer insight requirements. This position will support existing business through packaging innovations / renovations, cost improvement projects and simplification projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Manage assigned packaging development projects, working with Brand (BB and BD) and project teams including SC, SUIT to meet category objectives.
Provide technical input to package design process and assure package design for manufacturing acceptability, while realizing desirable aesthetic design elements and minimum wastage.
Execute new package designs and perform package component qualification, working with suppliers and Manager, from engineering prints & prototypes, through to unit and production tooling. Work effectively with Regions, Suppliers, and Manufacturing to fully develop and assure the creation of timely functional specifications.
Develop strong relationships and communicate effectively to manage projects with Brand Managers, Sales Team, in store Visibility Team, Product Development, Supply Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Unilever Packaging counterparts & contacts.
Keep of developments across appropriate packaging and manufacturing technologies.
Key Requirements: B.S. Degree (Packaging Science, or engineering equivalent) with 3-5 years’ experience in the packaging field, as a Package Development Engineer, designing and developing primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, Brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives. Strong project management skills and computer software skills: Word processing (Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), Presentations (PowerPoint), email (Outlook) along with effective verbal & written communication skills.

Key Objectives of the Job: To deploy all new product development projects
•Tea blends sensory analysis to support Tea Supply Chain, where necessary.
•Designing formulations which are mapped against identified key attributes of tea and consumer insights/response.
•Also develop blends with flavor inclusions, adjusting flavor percentage and suggesting changes in base blend in order to get the right product delivery.
•Develop in-depth product understanding based on internal sensory evaluations and consumer insights to build hypothesis for new and better product development.
•Maintain close coordination and harmonization with the regional HURC team for both R&D and CTI related work.
•Work with CTI team to improve consumer work and identify areas of improvement in order to get the accurate and authentic product reports.
•Developing correct demographic consumer protocol for each region to help understand product performance.
•Benchmarking competitor products in order to identify areas of improvement in current formulations/ identify VIP ideas.

Education: Masters in Food Technology, M.Sc Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Food related industry. Experience of tea will be a plus.
