Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with FCP, ORF, Regulatory Reporting risk policy & procedures, EUC policy & procedures, ICFR directives, BCP/DR requirements, DOIs and other accounting guidelines.
Further ensure that the controls surrounding Finance are efficiently and effectively managed & risks are mitigated and ensuring that there is improved governance in Finance (including coordinating and managing audits).
Key Roles & Responsibilities
â¢ Ensuring adherence and compliance to Financial Control Policy (FCP), Operational Risk Framework (ORF), DOIs, Regulatory Reporting risk policy & procedures, EUC policy & procedures and other accounting guidelines.
â¢ Working towards ensuring that all the requirements of FCP are complied including effective & efficient reconciliation / substantiation, reasonableness review, quality review, sample testing and escalation.
â¢ Engage in performance of CSTs / KCSAs / KCIs / KRIs as per ORF and ensure completeness of testing. Further also ensure that the quality of testing is as per the guidelines and complete audit trail is maintained.
â¢ Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of BCP site and BCP / DR activity at the prescribed frequency.
â¢ Ensure that the Bank is in compliance with the directives of SBP on ICFR and the ICFR documentation is updated (Process Flows, RCMs, Remediation Plan, Testing Plans). Further ensure that ICFR related documentation is updated and testing required is timely performed for Finance.
â¢ Management of GIA / Peer Reviews / SBP Inspection for Finance. Ensure any issues identified during the review / audits are reported to FORF and action plan for resolution is agreed and the same is achieved in a timely resolution.
â¢ Ensure that all the requirements of the Regulatory Reporting Risk policy and procedures are complied with through-out the Bank. Particularly, ensuring that the controls pertaining to regulatory reporting are in place and are effectively operating. Further the return owners / data owners have updated DOIs and there is effective performance of the KCSAs / CSTs / KRIs is done as per the prescribed frequency.
Qualifications & Skills
â¢ Preferably a Chartered Accountant with at least 2-3 years post qualification experience in Banking Industry in same position.
â¢ Sound Accounting Concepts with experience.
â¢ Good exposure of the corporate environment, preferably in a multinational organization.
â¢ Overall banking exposure and experience at key finance position.
â¢ Familiarity with Local language, Local Laws, Banking regulations, Central Bank Directives, Tax Laws and Group Policies and procedures.
â¢ Hands on with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point. Awareness of MS Visio is added advantage
â¢ Strong Analytical Skill.
â¢ Ability to maintain good relationship with regulatory level, group level and others.
â¢ Should be a resilient, self starter with well developed communication and inter-personal skills
â¢ Effective Communication within and outside the organization at senior levels.
â¢ Ability to drive the issues to conclusive end and maintain good relationships.
â¢ Ability to enforce the controls.
â¢ Living and encouraging others to live values in day-to-day work.
â¢ Good presentation skills.
