Standard Chartered Bank SCB Jobs 21 Jan 2016: To identify, assess, monitor, mitigate and report Compliance risks in the Consumer Bank under Operational Risk Management & Assurance (ORMA) framework.
*To provide support and advice to Businesses and functions on regulatory issues and risks so that they can operate to the highest standards of conduct by meeting regulatory requirements, adhering to the ethical policies in the Group Code of Conduct.
*To put the queries to SBP for seeking clarification / guidance and subsequently disseminating the same to the concerned quarters.
*To facilitate and assist management by ensuring that the Consumer Bank operates in accordance with (a) all regulatory requirements and (b) all relevant Group Compliance standards and Code of Conduct, so as to protect and enhance the reputation of the Bank with its regulators and avoid significant financial loss.
*To review policies, Product Program, Product Development Documents, Process Manuals, Memos etc so as to ensure that they are compliant with regulatory & statutory requirements.
*To review internal policies and guide the branches and other department on various banking issues.
*To give training to bank staff on the Compliance Function.

Qualifications and Skills

*Minimum Master’s from a recognized reputable university.
*Minimum 10 years of banking experience out of which 3 to 5 years should relevant to compliance.
*Thorough knowledge of banking regulations in Pakistan.
*Strong analytical skills.
*Good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice on regulatory matters.
*Personal authority, integrity and ethics.
*An inquisitive approach to practices, procedures and specific transactions.
*Ability to manage and give leadership to subordinates.
*Independence and robustness.
