The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), established as an autonomous body under the Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961 is seeking to recruit COO/Secretary who is expected to provide strategic vision and continue to refine and implement the business strategy in line with the parameters set by the Council.
The COO/Secretary reports to the Council through the President and the office bearers. The candidate will hold overall strategic, tactical and operational responsibility for the direction and performance of the Institute nationally and internationally.
The primary role of the position is to:
■ Administer as a Head of the Institute and be functionally responsible for overall supervision of the affairs of the Institute and execution of the strategic plan.
■ Drive the creation of a transparent, collaborative and performance based culture within the Institute in line with best industry practices.
■ Provide active leadership to the teams working on various initiatives.
■ Liaison with national regulators, government officials and international professional bodies.
■ Fellow member of ICAP or other international CA bodies in good standing or a postgraduate degree in Business Management disciplines.
■ At least 15 years senior management experience in large commercial entities, not below the level of Group Head reporting directly to the Board. Preference will be given to candidates having minimum of five years’ experience of working as CEO/C00 of an economically significant entity.
■ Reputation as an industry thought leader in strategic development, communication and execution.
■ Proven experience of leading and managing large teams operating in multiple locations.
■ Significant exposure of engagement with national and international regulatory bodies.
