ROLE OVERVIEW: Responsible for the day to day management of the Lending operation, which includes circulation counters, Membership desk, Help Desk and the Lending collection
Monitoring of work at the Membership desk, which includes sales of membership, data entry into KOHA system
Responsible for membership income and miscellaneous income and ensure that the cash is balanced at the till at all times.
Monitoring of the circulation counters which include check-in and check-out of material, checking the condition of the material returned, sending damaged material for repairs etc.
Handling customer complaints, requests, and suggestions on Lending Services.
Conducting library tours for new members and other institutions/individuals on requests.
Monitor on a daily basis the rosters for the Lending operation and make sure that the customer counters are staffed all the time.
Monitor the quality of services provided by the staff working at the service points and shelving areas.
Organising events and activities to promote library services.
To assist Manager, Library & Information Services on the selection, organisation and utilisation of resources for Lending services in order to have an up to date collection.
