Cat Risk Director will lead and support CAT risk management and modeling for natural and man-made CAT risk for all lines of business across AIG Property Casualty. The position reports to the Head of Property Risk and CAT Management. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to,
a) Provide strong technical and strategic CAT risk management and modeling support, and value-added services.
b) Provide deep understanding of vendor and non-vendor models including key algorithms, assumptions and limitations and independent assessments
c) Develop and implement comprehensive risk appetite framework for natural and man-made CAT
d) Improve internal and external exposures reporting
e) Improve analytical processes and workflow to achieve greater efficiency
a. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
b. Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance
c. Strong understanding of vendor models
d. Strong verbal and written communication skills
e. Minimum of 6-9 years direct catastrophe modeling experience combined with management experience
f. Strong execution skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and multiple deliverables.
g. Graduate degree in a quantitative field
